SeaDream Yacht Club was founded in September of 2001 by Norwegian entrepreneur Atle Brynestad, who founded Seabourn Cruise Line and Larry Pimentel, who was President of Seabourn under Brynestad and later President and CEO of the merged companies Cunard-Seabourn. Pimentel is President and Chief Executive Officer of SeaDream and a Co-Owner. Brynestad is Chairman and Owner. The two friends brought into SeaDream a small group of management colleagues with vast travel industry experience as well as shipboard officers and staff of unequaled abilities. As our President says, "We are not a cruise line. We are a yacht company and we provide a yachting experience." Yachting features an open and unstructured ambience that provides each guest the opportunity to enjoy it at their own pace and in their own style. We like to express this as "No clocks, no crowds, no lines, and no stress." The key word for the SeaDream yachting experience is "unstructured". It is all about personal choice, a free form holiday in which guests feel that they are aboard their own yacht. That is why we say, "It's yachting, not cruising". Flexible Schedules and Itineraries -Basically, SeaDream I and II sail on scheduled, seven-day itineraries. Nevertheless, although SeaDream yachts depart their first port of call and arrive at their last port of call as scheduled, arrivals and departures at intermediate ports are not necessarily, cast in stone. Our Captains have the authority to adjust for local opportunities. Our yachts can make unscheduled calls at small ports to visit a local fish market, for example, or remain longer than scheduled in a secluded bay so guests can enjoy a few more hours of water sports.
Overnighting in Key Ports - Unlike cruise ships that usually arrive at ports of call in the early morning and depart in the evening of the same day, SeaDream yachts overnight at many ports of call. You will find many examples when you go into the itinerary section of our website. However, let us give you just a couple of examples here: One port in the Caribbean where we overnight is Gustavia on the French island, St. Barts. When we sail in the Mediterranean, we frequently overnight in St. Tropez in the French Riviera. We know that in some ports of call the action does not even get started until late in the evening and we have found that our guests are active people who do not want to miss a thing.
No Tux for Guys, No Gala Gowns for Gals - The SeaDream yachting experience is casually elegant. There is no formal dress code. When asked about what our guests wear during the day or in the evening, we always respond by using the phrase "Resort Casual"--- sportswear for the activity of your choice, easy to wear and comfortable attire for shore-side visits and casually elegant resort wear for evening.
Wellness and Well-Being - for both body and mind are high priorities with our guests and a concept that we at SeaDream take very seriously. SeaDream's Spa and Fitness Center provides a highly trained staff in a peaceful and relaxing environment. Our Spa is exclusive in that it is listed together with some of the leading spas in the world with the Thai Spa Association and we are the only one of its kind at sea. The Fitness Center with ocean views, features treadmills, elliptical machines, recumbent bikes, and free weights all with flat screen TVs and DVD players. Tai Chi and yoga on deck are available as requested by guests. There is also a hair and nail salon. Guests will also find a well-equipped medical facility aboard both our yachts and a licensed, highly trained physician on all of our voyages.
The Golf Simulator - On SeaDream, guests are able to play 30 championship courses on our state-of-the-art Golf Simulator. Additionally, we have a partnership with the renowned Orlimar Golf Company, creator of the famed Orlimar Golf Clubs and other fine golfing equipment. Guests who wish to purchase Orlimar Clubs aboard after trying them out with the simulator may do so; the purchase will be drop-shipped directly from the factory. Our Activities Directors can also assist guests in arranging tee times at golf courses in our ports-of-call.
The Caviar and Champagne SplashTM - We use the word "Splash" advisedly. Ashore, on secluded beaches guests and crew toast and celebrate the great times they have experienced on their voyage. In addition, there is a beach barbecue or picnic. On voyages where it is not possible to host our Champagne and Caviar Splash ashore, we celebrate on-board around and "in" our outdoor swimming pool along with specially prepared surprise treats from the Chef. This is a signature SeaDream event that the crew looks forward to and each guest will remember.
Balinese DreamBeds - Each of our yachts features the sensational Balinese DreamBeds. These, highly popular, double sun beds are on Deck 6 by the Top of the Yacht Bar and are raised above the sightline of the yacht's railings to provide unobstructed views. Large umbrellas are available to provide shade when desired. The perfect place to sunbathe, read, look out to sea, or just snooze. Should a guest prefer to sleep under the stars, SeaDream will gladly supply the pillows and a cozy duvet.
The Library - An elegant library, cozy and quiet, offers a large selection of books ranging from the classics to bestsellers. Magazines, newspapers, board games and computers with internet connections are also available 24 hours a day.
The SeaDream Boutique - The Boutique is open when at sea to allow guests to purchase duty free. It offers fine gifts of international name brands, sports and yacht-wear, and necessary personal items guests may have neglected to bring with them. Guests can also purchase from specially selected boutique items available on our website - www.seadream.com.
Water Sports Marina - Each yacht features a large retractable water sports Marina. Guests can enjoy a variety of water sports activities including kayaking, water skiing, tubing, boarding, wave running, snorkeling, Sunfish® sailing or simply a swim. The Marina also has Jet Skis. The use of the Jet Skis or "Personal Watercraft" is subject to local and national rules and regulations. In many jurisdictions, personal watercraft use is either unlawful or subject to licensing. SEADREAM will continue to use Jet Skiâ??s where legal and authorized by local and national regulations.
Award-winning, Fine Dining - SeaDream's open-seating award-winning dining and service aboard either one of our yachts is a gourmet experience that has been highly rated in authoritative guides and other publications. On SeaDream, guests are able to dine both indoors and outdoors in high style with a casual ambience.
The Main Dining Salon is an elegant indoor space, large enough to accommodate all guests. The menu is an eclectic combination classics and international offerings. The Maitre'd assists each guest in their preference of seating, whether in small or large group or at a table for two. Dining is also hosted in the Topside Restaurant, open to the sea breezes and views. If a couple wishes to dine privately, there are small alcoves where they may do so.
During the day, fresh sandwiches may be found at the Top of the Yacht Bar and by the swimming pool. Also available is a 24-hour room service menu featuring light, healthful offerings. Finally, wide selections of specially prepared Canapés are served during cocktails in the Main Salon. The Wine Cellar - Our Sommeliers are masters of their wine cellars at sea. SeaDream wine list features many of the top Old world and New world varieties and an array of little-known, but surprisingly enticing wines that are available for purchase. The Sommeliers also pour a complimentary selection of reds and whites at lunch and dinner. Only 55 pampered couples sail on each voyage. There are 54 Yacht Club Staterooms measuring 195 square feet. 16 of the Yacht Club Staterooms can be converted to eight Commodore Club (double Yacht Club) Staterooms at 390 square feet, featuring his and hers bathrooms and dining area for 4. There is also The Owner's Suite with 450 elegantly appointed square feet features a private master bedroom and bathroom suite and a living and dining room area with a guest bath providing extra comfort for private entertaining. Based on how the staterooms are configured, our yachts can accommodate from 47 to 55 couples. Please check our website for stateroom layouts, deck plans and photos to illustrate the different accommodations. Each stateroom features a marble lined bathroom, Bvlgari® toiletries, andSeaDream's own plush 100% Turkish cotton bathrobes with slippers. There are also separate, multi-jet shower massage units lighted magnifying mirrors and hair dryer. Each stateroom's living room area features an Entertainment Center with a flat screen television, CD and DVD systems, internet ready outlets and personalized stationery. Each stateroom also has a bar and refrigerator unit stocked with complimentary beer, soft drinks and bottled spring water. This bar can also be stocked with guests' choices of spirits and wines at minimal cost. Beds, which are conformed to guests' preferences as singles or doubles, feature the highest quality down pillows, Belgian bed linens and a choice of a duvet or woolen blankets. Both SeaDream yachts feature luxurious and intimate public areas. The indoor Dining Salon with adjacent Meeting Room that affords privacy to small business or family groups, the Main Salon with dance floor, stage, lounge and bar (large enough to accommodate all guests at one time), a large Reception Area, the SeaDream Spa and Fitness Center, Piano Bar, Casino, Library and Boutique. The open teak wood decks are ideal for strolling and looking out to sea. Comfortable deck chairs, raised, double Balinese DreamBeds, and casually elegant wicker furnishings provide comfort and relaxation al fresco. There is also a large swimming pool and Jacuzzi next to the Pool Bar. The stern Marina for water sports activities. The Top of the Yacht Bar is a popular gathering spot as is the Topside Restaurant. There are double captain's chairs on either side of deck 6 aft where guests will find binoculars for exploration or a great place to enjoy a cocktail. There is a complimentary open bar policy serving premium spirits in public rooms and in public spaces on deck. Yachting is a highly personal experience and so is our entertainment. There are no glitzy revues, no revolving stages with smoke and mirrors. There is an intimate Piano Bar, light music in the Main Salon along with first run movies and other special films in the Main Salon or by moonlight in the aft pool deck. There are CDs and DVDs available for use in the staterooms and iPods loaded with a large selection of music. There is also a guitar player on board who plays classical guitar while guests are dining as well as more contemporary pieces for dancing at night!
Since SeaDream guests are yachting, they also find ways to entertain themselves whether indulging in the art of conversation, a quiet moment to catch up on their reading, trying their luck at the Casino, taking time for an after dinner brandy and a cigar at the Top of the Yacht Bar, or requesting a tune at the Piano Bar, there is always something or someone to share the events of the day with. Internet access is available from all staterooms. The charge is $35 for 24 hours of unlimited access. Laptops are available at no charge. Guests may also access the internet through the computers in the Library. The charge is $5 for the first 10 minutes and $3 for each additional, 10-minute period. Besides the opportunity to join staff members for Shoreside Casuals such as hiking, running or biking SeaDream also offers a series of exclusive Yachting Land Adventures. These are custom-designed shore excursions, priced nominally, for our guests to enjoy. For guests who want to do their own thing, the Activities Director will conduct informal talks prior to each port of call covering topics such as getting around, shopping, dining and some of the particular ports points of interest. Service is our passion aboard SeaDream yachts. Authoritative guides and travel publications acknowledge our quality service by giving us their highest ratings. Our service may be characterized as being in the European style and our international service staff is meticulous in the service they provide each individual guest. Guests aboard our yachts do not have to carry cash or sign tabs. No tipping is necessary. Our mega-yachts were the prototypes of the luxurious, casual and intimate yachting experience. When we took over the twin yachts in September 2001, we made plans for their total redesign and refit. We wanted to provide discriminating guests with nothing short of the ultimate yachting experience. SeaDream II underwent redesign and refit in January 2002 and SeaDream I underwent the same rigorous redesign and refit in April 2002. SeaDream I and II are identical. Our commitment does not stop here; there are current details in the works. The Country of Registry for both SeaDream yachts is the Bahamas. Gross tonnage of each is 4,300. Length is 344 feet / 104.85 Meters. Beam is 47 feet / 14.32 Meters. Speed is 15 knots. Guest capacity is 110. Officers, staff and crew are international and number 92 per yacht. Both yachts are stabilized and fully air-conditioned with individual stateroom thermostats and both comply with SOLAS 2005 First Safety Standards. SeaDream I and II sail on scheduled 7 to 11 night itineraries. For guests that can stay a bit longer, the itineraries are designed to be taken back to back for a unique 14-night or longer yachting experience. SeaDream offers an additional 10% savings on the second voyage when both are booked back-to-back.
SeaDream visits destinations where larger vessels can not go offering late evening or overnight stays in port to allow guests to experience the nightlife of such yachting playgrounds as Monte Carlo, St. Tropez or St. Barts.
From May through October, SeaDream I and II sail to classical yachting ports in the French and Italian Riviera, Costa del Sol, the Amalfi Coast, the Greek Islands and the Adriatic and Black Seas, including the classical yachting ports of Nice, Monte Carlo, Cannes, St. Tropez, Santorini, Barcelona and Portofino.

SEADREAM YACHT CLUB with its twin ultra luxury mega-yachts SEADREAM I and SEADREAM II, has been named the “World’s Best Small Passenger Shipping Line in the prestigious Condé Nast Traveler Reader’s Choice Poll for 2006.
The annual poll, now in its 18th year, is considered by industry observers to be the most prestigious in the world and honors the best cruise lines, cities, islands, hotels, resorts, airlines and car rental agencies. More than 30,000 subscribers responded to this year’s survey.
In this poll, SEADREAM also received the highest score overall for operators of either small or large vessels and was the only passenger shipping company included in the publication’s listing of the 100 Best-of-the-Best travel experiences---in other words, the best seagoing vacation product in the world regardless of size.
SEADREAM YACHT CLUB operates the twin ultra luxury mega-yachts SEADREAM I and II in the Mediterranean, the Caribbean and South America.
In accepting the award from Ivana Trump in New York last night, Larry Pimentel, President, CEO and Co-owner of SEADREAM stated:
“It is my great pleasure to accept this coveted award in behalf of all of my SEADREAM colleagues---all staff members aboard our two yachts and all of those ashore---especially SEADREAM’s principal owner Atle Brynestad, who has always provided the encouragement and support for us to continually strive to achieve a higher standard of excellence. In his acceptance remarks, the SEADREAM executive also cited retail travel agents as being a major element in the company’s success. “SEADREAM YACHT CLUB was born only five years ago, he told the audience at the New York City event. “The date was September 1, 2001---precisely the wrong time. Just ten days later Atle Brynestad and I were questioning whether we may have just made the biggest mistake of our professional lives. We persevered and with a small dedicated staff we turned our attention to creating the finest small luxury passenger line operation in the world.
Some of you may remember the inspiring children’s story called The Little Engine that Could. It recounts how over great obstacles a tiny but resolute little train engine, huffs and puffs its way over a very high mountain and succeeds through sheer determination.
I believe The Little Engine that Could is a fitting metaphor for SEADREAM YACHT CLUB. In effect, we are The Little Yachts that Could. This award is proof that we have succeeded, he stated.

AWARDS AND ACCOLADES
The best endorsement for any product is a happy and satisfied customer. Certainly, this is true when measuring the success of travel products. Since its founding in September 2001, SeaDream Yacht Club has accumulated a wide variety of awards and accolades from authoritative travel industry publications, various organizations and associations and unsolicited comments from guests. Here then are some recent honors that add luster to SeaDream Yacht Club.
1. Conde Nast Traveler Magazine Readers’ Poll---This authoritative travel publication named SeaDream Yacht Club the “World’s Best Small Passenger Shipping Line for 2006. Additionally SeaDream scored higher than any other cruise line---large or small---in the publication’s Readers’ Poll---and was the only cruise line rated in the top 100 “World’s Best Travel Experiences. In earlier Conde Nast Traveler Magazine Readers’ Polls---2004 and 2005--- SeaDream Yacht Club received a perfect score for service was listed one of the “World’s Top Travel Experiences.
2. Conde Nast Traveler Magazine Gold List---In addition to SeaDream’s success in this publication’s Readers’ Poll, it also achieved high honors by being listed in its annual Gold List, a compendium of the World’s Best, Hotels, Resorts, Airlines and Cruise Lines. SeaDream has been on this list since 2004 when it scored a perfect 100, higher than any other passenger steamship company in the categories for Food and Service. The latest Gold List listed 12 cruise lines, of which SeaDream Yacht Club was the top scorer.
3. Travel & Leisure Magazine---For two years in a row, SeaDream Yacht Club has dominated this magazine’s World’s Best Awards as “Top Cruise Line for Service. This most recent honor was bestowed in June 2006. Travel & Leisure is considered by travel industry observers as a leading voice in worldwide travel. In the November 2004 issue of the magazine it named SeaDream to its list of Best Small Cruise Lines for the first time. In 2004, among the six categories on which readers rated all cruise lines on a 100 point scale, SeaDream was number one in three of them---Service (98.39), Food (95.16) and Value (89.52).
4. Berlitz Ocean Cruising and Cruise Ships 2007---SeaDream I and II shared the top Five Star Club award in this widely recognized guidebook’s 2007 edition. Berlitz guide author Douglas Ward called SeaDream’s vessels “Utterly Exclusive. The SeaDream twin, mega yacht cruisers achieved this exalted position for the fifth straight year. It is interesting to note that a German vessel (Europa) was rated nominally higher than SeaDream I and II as judged in five separate categories. However, SeaDream vessels were not rated in one of these five categories---Entertainment---since, SeaDream Yacht Club’s focus is not on elaborately structured entertainment but rather on unstructured yachting ambience. It is reasonable to expect that if SeaDream I and II had been rated even modestly in this Entertainment category it may well have outscored the German vessel, which appeals primarily to the German market.
5. Cruise Magazine 2006---A leading UK travel publication, Cruise Magazine, named SeaDream I “World’s Best Small Cruise Vessel in 2006. Since SeaDream and II are twins in all respects, it could not have won this award without the commitment to excellence of both vessels..
There have also been many other awards, honors and accolades since SeaDream Yacht Club commenced operations in 2001. These have come from such publications and organizations as: Cruise Critic.Com, CruiseReport.Com, Carlson Marketing Group, Hideaways International, Porthole Magazine and Travel Agent Magazine.
